Bruno is Telluride’s go-to spot on Main Street for locally roasted coffee from Telluride Coffee Roasters, delicious baked goods from local bakeries and a selection of international, natural wine and local beer from Telluride Brewing Company. The cozy cafe adjacent to Between the Covers bookstore was formerly High Alpine Coffee and located in the back of the bookstore. Fall of 2022, the coffeeshop received a new name and expanded menu when we moved to the new location. Now boasting a Main Street patio, serving coffee, tea, juices, wine, beer and cocktails, Bruno is the primo spot for Telluride locals for morning and après.

The bookstore and Bruno patio are dog friendly and welcoming to all furry friends. The Bruno logo features Bruno Cafe and Between the Covers bookstore owner’s Brad and Jennifer Ball’s Great Pyrenees named Bruno, along with a Newfoundland named Bruno who lives upstairs.

Telluride’s bookstore since 1974, Between the Covers moved to its current location in Fall 2022 from the historic Pekkarine building. The current location was once home to Herbert’s Stone Livery, serving Telluride with horses and stables and later as the Goodyear service station. It eventually became the first offices of Telluride Ski Resort.
BTC serves the Telluride community offering an excellent selection of new books and community gathering space. Often called Telluride’s living room, the bookstore is the heart of Telluride.
